Re: looking for Music to accompany Knocknagow
I am currently doing a project on old silent cinemas in the Mayo region in Ireland, and I was wondering if any reviewers would know the original film score/ sheet music to Knocknagow or the film The Widow Malone?

Brian Magowan
My Grandfather played the part of Matt The Thresher in this film. His real name was Jim Smyth - Magowan of course, means some of smith. He died in 1961 in England, having planned a brief stopover in 1930 in his way to the US to continue his film career, along with contemporaries Maureen O'Hara and Barry Sullivan etc. Other films? Irish Destiny and Wilie Reilly and his Coleen Bawn are the only two surviving out of around 10 films he made.
